What you need to do:

The first step to obtaining your Colorado mortgage license is applying for an NMLS account and ID number.
To become a Colorado-licensed MLO you'll need to complete the required 20-hour NMLS S.A.F.E prelicensing
course, which must include 2 hours of Colorado content, along with any additional coursework
required by the Colorado state licensing agency.
